Role Overview
Business Development at Hilti is a pivotal function within our global organisation. In this role, you will spearhead the development of key players in the Offshore Oil & Gas sector, delivering value-adding solutions for Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) that are strategic for the Hilti Group.
As a Business Developer, you will own and implement a tailored customer strategy, drive solution adoption, and coordinate a regional team supporting your accounts. You will also play a fundamental role in shaping the future of the Offshore segment at Hilti, contributing to emerging opportunities in New Energies—such as Offshore Wind.
What You’ll Do
· Drive MRO business development on Offshore Oil & Gas platforms and floating regasification units through targeted account and project strategies (e.g., decommissioning plans), sales development, and multi-level stakeholder engagement—ultimately increasing Hilti’s share of wallet.
· Develop new business strategies for the Offshore segment and lead regional implementation in collaboration with local teams.
· Build strong relationships with key decision-makers at target facilities and proactively form Hilti “capture teams” to focus on strategic projects.
· Provide market intelligence—covering both Oil & Gas and New Energies—to Segment teams to validate or refine segment strategies.
· Operate across the Southern European region, with regular travel in Italy and abroad (Greece, Romania, Croatia).
· Maintain effective communication across teams and act as the owner of assigned accounts and projects.
What You Bring
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Economics, with solid experience in the Oil & Gas market.
· Excellent communication skills: ability to build trust, influence without authority, and negotiate effectively.
· Strong long-term strategic mindset: capable of articulating and conveying strategy to customers, peers, and management.
· Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders by understanding pain points, trends, and adapting the strategy when needed.
· Self-driven and autonomous: able to define your own priorities and actions to achieve targets.
· Skilled in high-level system-selling value propositions, with the ability to dive into technical detail when required.
· Confident in managing senior and C-level relationships.
· Proven project management capabilities, handling complex system-selling activities across multiple geographies, functions, and customers.
· Strong internal and external networking skills, thriving in a matrix environment.
