About the Role
We're looking for a Structural Connections Engineer to join our team in Manchester. In this role, you'll support the Technical Assistance process for structural connection enquiries and contribute to Design Services through evaluation reports.
You'll provide first-line technical support to customers and field colleagues, prepare structured deliverables with guidance from experienced engineers, and continue building your knowledge of structural connections, design methods, and engineering software.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop their technical expertise within a supportive and collaborative engineering environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage inbound structural connection enquiries from customers and field colleagues across Great Britain.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive technical advice as part of the Technical Assistance process.
- Escalate complex cases to senior engineers whilst continuing to build your technical knowledge and expertise.
- Support Design Services through the preparation of evaluation reports and structured engineering deliverables.
- Identify opportunities and record relevant activities within our CRM system.
- Follow established processes for documentation, archiving, and technical records.
- Participate in training, knowledge sharing, and continuous development activities.
- Support the maintenance of engineering documentation and team resources.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of construction methods, structural connections and engineering terminology.
- Willingness to learn and develop proficiency in engineering design software.
- Strong attention to detail, with an organised and methodical approach to work.
- Good technical English skills for documentation and communication.
- Commitment to following structured processes and archiving standards.
- Team player with a positive attitude towards learning, development, and progression.
- Ambition to grow into Engineer II responsibilities.
