Data Analyst - Energy & Industry 

Role Overview

As the E&I Data Analyst for Latin America, you will play a critical role enabling data-driven decision-making for one of Hilti’s most strategic business segments in the region Energy & Industry.

In this role, you will act as a trusted business partner, providing transparency, actionable insights, and high-quality reporting to regional stakeholders, including the E&I General Manager, Segment Managers, and Finance Business Partners. You will support the performance management cycle, ensure execution of controlling processes while identifying business opportunities and risks.

This is a role with broad scope, combining advanced reporting expertise, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management. You will operate across local, regional, and global standards, helping shape how the E&I business evolves in our region.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Reporting & Insights

    • Own and continuously improve E&I reporting (sales performance, different segment insights, headcount).
    • Analyze business trends, identifying growth opportunities, underperforming segments, and customer dynamics.
    • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.
    • Provide reporting and insights for Large Projects (E&I and mainstream).
    • Support PMO and Value Engineering initiatives, contributing to performance tracking and optimization.
  • Performance Management & Controlling Support

    • Support the E&I Finance Manager & Controlling Head in monthly, quarterly, and yearly cycles
    • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reporting deliverables, aligned with defined SLAs.
  • Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering

    • Act as a regional business partner, collaborating with segment managers and leadership teams.
    • Respond to evolving stakeholder needs in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Influence decision making through data-backed storytelling and effective communication.
    • Partner with stakeholders on specific analytical requests, delivering high-impact insights aligned with business priorities.
    • Prioritize effectively to focus on what is most relevant for the business.

 

Requirements

  • Fluent English (spoken and written) – non-negotiable
  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in data analytics, financial controlling, or business intelligence.
  • Proven track record in building reports, analyzing data, and presenting insights to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect complex data points and identify business drivers
  • Expertise in reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualization, ability to move from data to insight to recommendation.

Soft skills:

Strong communication and storytelling skills, adapting to different audiences.

Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across different levels of the organization.

Capability to understand the "why behind the numbers" and translate it into business impact.
