Engineering excellence by making quality non‑negotiable

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product, service, and process quality by developing standards, control plans, and inspection methods while maintaining compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. This role analyzes data, leads root cause and Corrective & Preventative Action (CAPA) activities, supports & collaborates with production and engineering to reduce variation and drive continuous improvement. The Quality Engineer also monitors key metrics, supports audits, and provides technical guidance to sustain operational excellence.

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Develop & maintain quality standards, procedures, and control plans for manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for internal and external quality issues.
  • Support new product and equipment introduction activities, including Process Failure Mode and Effects.
  • Analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and validation.
  • Work with production and engineering teams to improve processes and reduce variation.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics (scrap, rework, yield, customer complaints, etc.).
  • Lead or support internal and external audits (ISO 9001 or similar standards).
  • Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Review and approve inspection methods, sampling plans, and test procedures.
  • Support supplier quality activities, including evaluation and corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance to inspectors and production teams.
  • Conduct job site visits for product validation and analysis.
  • Additional duties as assigned, including support directly to Quality Manager in absence to ensure no drop in quality.

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Five (5) years of experience in manufacturing quality or related engineering role, required.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 or similar).
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.). Familiarity with statistical methods and data analysis (SPC, capability studies, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capability (root cause, corrective action) and continuous improvement mindset (Six Sigma Certification, preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced skills quality/data analysis tools.
  • Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and process validation.
  • Experience with SAP QM/MES systems and quality management software.
