Electrical Engineer 

 

Purpose of position 

 

  • Develop new assembly lines/devices and take jointly responsible for handling other projects with Team Leader.
  • Driving for process and equipment optimization to bring productivity for the plant and reduce investment of equipment’s.
  • Train and direct maintenance technician on production maintenance related technical issues, hands on solving breakdown issues.
  • Promote teamwork and be part of the team to reach the agreed targets.    

 

 

Responsibilities 

 

  1. Develop and design assembly lines or testing devices for new products, under consideration of defined quality, deadlines and costs.
  2. Fabricate assembly lines or testing devices internally or with external suppliers.
  3. Support on new assembly lines’ installation and commissioning.
  4. Training, instruction and support of operating and maintenance personnel.
  5. Support online trouble shooting of assembly lines and test equipment.
  6. Work with CIP (Continual Improvement Process), to continuously improve machine stability and reliability.
  7. Support on lean project and assembly line modification.
  8. Support on technical problem solving of plant facilities.
  9. Promote the teamwork and share experience and knowledge with other team members.
  10. Working on any other duty or projects on which the incumbent is assigned by the direct supervisor.

 

 

Experience & Qualifications

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical automation/design or related major.
  2. More than 5 years’ experience in electrical design, automation and commissioning of production equipment.
  3. Experience on electrical planning and engineering by using E-Plan Electric P8 software or another E-CAD software is preferred.
  4. Solid experience on designing PLC and HMI applications based on Siemens / Beckhoff PLC’s is a must have.
  5. Experience on industry networks such as ProfiNET or EtherCAT a must have.
  6. Experience on programming languages referring to IEC 61131 is a must have. Focus on Structure Text, Function Plan (FUP) and Ladder Logic. 
  7. Ability of reading and understanding of basic pneumatic drawings is a must.
  8. Solid experience on Microsoft office tools (Excel; Word, PowerPoint, and Visio preferred)
  9. Positive attitude and strong hands-on ability.
  10. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a team player.
  11. Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  12. Willing to work within Hilti group worldwide is needed (travel to other plants worldwide).
