Description and requirements

We are seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer with strong experience in Concrete and Steel design to join our team as a Quality Assurance Engineer for Hilti’s design Software products. This role involves validating engineering workflows, test execution, and ensuring accuracy of software outputs related to post Installed connections Steel to concrete, concrete to concrete (extensions/overlay), Steel to steel (direct fastening). You will work closely with engineering and software development teams to enhance product quality and user experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Validate engineering calculations and workflows in Hilti structural design software

• Perform manual testing for post Installed connections Steel to concrete, concrete to concrete (extensions/overlay), Steel to steel (direct fastening)

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and validation reports.

• Compare software outputs with design codes, engineering calculations, and expected behavior.

• Document defects, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.

• Ensure usability, functional accuracy, and performance standards across modules.

• Participate in Agile development processes and support sprint planning, estimation, and reviews.

• Maintain knowledge of international standards (ACI, Eurocode, IS, etc.).

• Collaborate with global engineering and product teams to improve software quality and application workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil engineering/Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

• 3–10 years of experience in structural design

• Experience with international design codes such as ACI, Eurocode, IS, or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of anchoring, baseplate, shear, punching, and façade design concepts.

Skills

• Proficiency with at least one structural analysis tool (STAAD.Pro, RSTAB, SAP2000, etc.).

• Knowledge of BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks is a plus.

• Familiarity with FEA tools is an advantage.

• Exposure to software QA practices and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a global, cross-functional environment.
