This role independently executes defined development work packages, applies sound engineering judgment, and supports cross-functional development programs with strong ownership of assigned deliverables.  This position works closely with Testing, Product Management, Supply, Quality, Manufacturing, Approvals, and external suppliers to develop robust, manufacturable, cost-effective, and customer-focused solutions. The role is expected to solve moderately complex technical problems with limited supervision and contribute to reliable development documentation, test planning, design reviews, and product lifecycle support.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop mechanical product solutions based on market, customer, regulatory, manufacturing, and cost requirements using NX CAD software and PDM software ECTR, product data management, and engineering documentation systems
  • Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, specifications, tolerances, bills of material, and development documentation needed for internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform engineering analysis using hand calculations, finite element analysis, test data, and other data-driven methods to support design decisions
  • Systematically develop and compare concepts based on customer needs, technical requirements, risk, cost targets, sustainability considerations, and manufacturability
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal manufacturing partners to develop serial drawings and production-ready component designs
  • Validate concepts in terms of function, cost, manufacturing technology, reliability, quality, and compliance in cooperation with Testing, Product Management, Quality, Supply, Manufacturing, and Approvals
  • Plan, support, and evaluate laboratory, application, and field testing, including test setup definition, execution support, data analysis, and reporting
