Specification Engineer Manager
Role Overview
As a leader within the Engineering organization, this role takes full ownership of specifier engagement development and engineering services. You will lead and develop a team of engineers, translate national engineering strategy into actionable plans, and position Hilti as a trusted engineering partner to drive specification success and commercial results.
What You Will Do
Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a team of Specification Engineers to achieve high performance and continuous growth
Take full responsibility for specifier engagement development and engineering services
Translate the national Engineering strategy into clear, actionable plans that drive specification, conversion, and project success
Communicate, lead by example, and track the execution of the national Engineering strategy across Specifier Account Development and Key Project Management
Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to convert technical specifications into business results
Build strong relationships with consultants, designers, and key project stakeholders to position Hilti as a trusted engineering partner
Strengthen and continuously build up technical competence within the engineering team
Ensure disciplined execution of operational standards to deliver measurable impact and maximize specification product sales
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s or University degree in Engineering or a relevant technical/business field (e.g. Structural, Civil Engineering, or similar)
At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience, including selling specified engineering products or providing engineering solutions
Solid background within the construction industry, with experience in design offices, construction sites, EPCs, suppliers, consultants, or contractors
Senior-level experience in Hilti-relevant applications with in-depth knowledge of the design and construction process
Proven track record as a senior Specification, Field, or Key Project Engineer
Strong technical and functional expertise within the construction business
Commercial experience with a systematic account development mindset
Ability to define and steer a clear strategy to deliver and sustain outstanding results
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
Engineering or technical sales experience
Leadership experience is a strong plus, with the ability to develop and inspire people to reach their full potential
