Field Engineer
About the Role
As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers across the construction industry by providing expert technical advice and engineering solutions. Working closely with our sales team, you will help drive project specifications, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute directly to business growth.
You’ll be out in the field and on-site, building credibility as a trusted technical expert while collaborating internally to deliver solutions that improve productivity, safety, and performance.
Territory coverage: South England
What You’ll Do
• Visit customer sites, construction projects, and offices to provide technical guidance and engineering support across a wide range of applications.
• Partner closely with sales colleagues to identify opportunities, secure specifications, and maximise project success.
• Deliver high-quality engineering input to consulting engineers and key customers, ensuring confidence in our solutions and services.
• Balance time between site visits, customer engagement, and collaboration with internal technical teams.
• Provide technical training and support to both customers and internal teams, ensuring consistent service excellence.
• Effectively plan and prioritise your workload to maximise impact, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
What You’ll Bring
• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Structural or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline such as Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of construction methods, design principles, and the wider construction industry.
• Previous experience in a similar or related environment (e.g. site-based engineering, design office).
• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
