Role Overview:

We’re looking for Field Engineer in Cape Town with a background in Civil/Structural Engineering to join our Engineering team. But this is no ordinary engineering job, as ours is uniquely high-performing and supportive working culture.

What You'll do: 

As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and technical expertise within our organization. You will leverage your engineering background and industry knowledge to build strong relationships with clients, identify and solve their challenges, and ultimately contribute to our continued success.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Secure technical business opportunities through specifications and provide ongoing technical support to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams to convert specifications and approvals into sales, while fostering expertise in our engineering products among sales personnel.
  • Maximize sales potential by identifying and pursuing sales opportunities with targeted customer groups and projects.
  • Manage sales and application processes for key regional projects, coordinating all engineering and sales resources effectively.
  • Develop, analyze, and manage business plans to cultivate and expand sales within your assigned customer base.
  • Utilize your consultative selling skills to convince clients of the value proposition of our technical products, software and services.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, helping them find innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Provide engineering support and training to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring top-quality service delivery.
  • Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers to secure product specifications within your assigned segment.
  • Attain specifications and drive sales opportunities through targeted interactions with consultants and contractors.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to address client concerns using our engineering solutions and proactively generate new business leads.

What You’ll Bring:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  •  Bachelor's degree or Btech in Civil engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry obtained by working either on-site or in a consulting office.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning.
