In this role, you will join a diverse professional Finance Shared Service Centre team where you will have both operational responsibilities, including full ownership for GL processes for one of our market entities, as well as team leadership responsibilities, supporting the growth and development of our General Ledger team members. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead and develop a team of General Ledger accountants (direct reports), steering and driving performance, engagement and continuous development
  • Identifying training needs and contributing to development of others
  • Full ownership for execution of general ledger processes for one market entity
  • Analysing financial data and providing clear insights to the management enabling informed decision-making
  • Business partnering with finance leadership team and other stakeholders by linking business decisions to accounting processes
  • Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and quality in accounting practices while setting and achieving higher service level standards
  • Contributing to initiatives that span multiple regions and business functions, enhancing your skills and broadening your expertise
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards; support internal and external audits

 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • CIMA/ACCA Qualified or part-qualified (with limited papers remaining)
  • Experience-led knowledge of finance accounting and tax as well as a good understanding of double entry/bookkeeping
  • Team leader / supervisory experience including steering performance, analysing KPIs, coaching and development
  • Experience in a shared service centre or multi-entity environment 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience of working with senior management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • To be enthusiastic, proactive and self-reliant person and a good team player
  • A willingness and ability towards continuous learning
  • Technical skills (Power Query, Business Intelligence, Macro, SAP, S/4 HANA etc.) as an advantage, but not essential
