Logistics Specialist


Role Overview:

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization on all Supply Chain Execution activities (Import/Export, Warehousing, Transport etc). You will participate in cross-functional activities/projects and assignments together with internal and external partners and continue to seek creative ways to improve the overall productivity of the organization.

Role Responsibility:

As the Logistics Specialist at Hilti, you will be responsible for interfacing with several of our service providers to ensure on-time imports and exports of shipments, all aspects of warehousing operations (including inbound, inventory management, outbound, reverse logistics) and other administrative activities to ensure our customers business requirements are met.

Furthermore, you will achieve cost productivity, efficiencies and/or service improvements by:

  • Working cross functionally with most of the department of our organization.
  • Using lean management methodology and tools to sustainably solve root cause issues.
  • Adapting global standards and guidelines to our market specificities.

 

In this role, you will be required to work closely with other Hilti functions such as Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing to ensure a better service to our customers while also understanding, interpreting, and communicating global KPIs and performance management reporting. Finally, as part of this role you will be responsible for cost management as well as conducting necessary audits and checks to ensure that risk mitigating controls are in place within all aspects of operations.

What You Need Is:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Bachelors/Honours degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years Supply Chain Experience with abilities in Distribution, Warehousing or Operational Projects with clear achievement such as Operations Performance Improvement, KPI Management, Process Implementation.
  • Knowledge of imports/exports would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with continuous improvement approach. Experience in Lean Methodology would be advantageous.
  • High proficiency in the use Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience working with SAP is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English with strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • High level of motivation, customer focus, and sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work with strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to work in warehouse and office environments
